ADD A TOUCH OF AFRICA TO YOUR WARDROBE

ADD A TOUCH OF AFRICA TO YOUR WARDROBE

After attending Africa Fashion Week London this past weekend it was clear to see the major influence African prints have had on western fashion.

Whilst many African designers are now being recognised through organisations and events such AFWL , African designs are becoming more and more modernised – and more items are being made to suit western styles.

Below are some ways to add a touch of Africa to your outfits

AFRO PRINT BAG these can be made in a vast range of styles and designs, perfect for everyday use and multiple occasions.

AFRICAN SKIRT alter your classic or casual look to something more creative with a stand out Afro print skirt

AFRICAN ACCESSORIES these can be fun and vibrant – anything from bold statement jewellery to colourful head scarves.

BLAZERS there’s nothing like adding a touch of Afrocentric elegance to an outfit. The best way to achieve this is through an Afro print blazer. Perfect for the creatives, dramatics, and classic style personalities.

Tip:

Kente cloth, Ankara, and Batik are all great prints to create simple yet modern styles with an African twist.

They really are. Theyre also a lot more easier to find these days especially in Afro/caribbean market fairs and stalls. 🙂
